We are Bob and Iris Carter from UK who moved to the Algarve. Portugal from England in 2003 following a short holiday in Tavira. We loved the place and people so much we decided to chance all, return to England, sell up, quit our jobs and return to Portugal to live.
This was very risky but we did it and to date do not regret it at all.
Our luck held out and we managed to get by with a few lettings at first and with our constant improvement regime we found more and more people wanted to stay with us.
We found this very rewarding to us, not financially but emotionally as we are now passing on our love of the Algarve to others. In particular Tavira with its fishing fleets, fish market, small un spoilt cobbled streets, shops, cafes and numerous good restaurants, add to this the beautiful beaches, excellent golf courses plus the Ria Formosa Sanctuary with its many varieties of birds and wild life for those of you interested in nature. You have it all.
